Shred the kale leaves as finely as possible and set aside.
Place the potatoes and onion in a large pot with the water, add the salt and bring to boil, cover and leave on low heat for 25 min. or until the potatoes are completely tender.
Turn of the heat, in the same pot, mash the potatoes to thicken the broth, add the oil, the shredded leaves, cover and bring it to boil for 5 min.
Ladle into bowls, add the chili sauce and serve steaming hot
